About us

Back in 2017, in the city of Dnipro, Ukraine, several talented people with experience in game development decided that the world lacked good games. That’s when Fractured Byte was created, and with that goal in mind. It all started with a small team of specialists who provided technical advice to other game studios.

In 2020, when the whole world was covered by the coronavirus pandemic, we were forced to switch to working from home. During this period, contrary to established opinion, our specialists proved that it is not necessary to be in the office to perform tasks effectively. In the end, a decision was made to officially switch to remote work, which subsequently allowed us to expand the scope of the search for new employees. Soon, in the same year, the second office of the company was opened in the city of Kyiv, Ukraine.

At the time, we mainly focused on porting projects to different platforms (PS, Xbox, Nintendo Switch). Among our assets, we can highlight the ports of Brothers: Tale of Two Sons (May 28, 2019), Borderlands Legendary Collection (May 29, 2020), Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 (June 25, 2021). And in 2021, fruitful cooperation with foreign companies led us to join the Embracer Group holding.

In 2022, we demonstrated not only professionalism, but also sincerity, humanity and solidarity. Some of us stood up for the defense of the Homeland, others provided help as much as possible. We supported each other and our country in the fight against terror and continue to do so, without stopping working on what brings joy and fun to the world. In the face of war, our company rallied and once again showed the ability to act in extreme conditions. The experience of our technical specialists made it possible to set up a new office in the city of Warsaw, Poland in a short period of time, as well as to ensure a stable connection between workers and the company’s servers.

At the time of 2023, we feel strong, cool and ready for any challenges. Fractured Byte is working on exciting new projects and currently includes several teams with deep knowledge of Unreal Engine and focus on modern platforms: PC, Sony PS5, Microsoft Xbox Series S/X and Nintendo Switch.
